Our recommended soil sampling program is done in 2.5 acre grids that are sectioned by soil type. This is done by overlaying a soil type map over the perimeter of the field and the different soil types are divided into grids. Considering the soil types while applying fertilizer and lime is very important as no two types react the same. We have been sampling in this manner since 1998 and have seen outstanding results. Below is a partial map of the areas we have sampled in the past and some examples of the maps and recommendations we generate with our sampling system.
